The work tasks to be developed will be held in Chassis Engineering group, in Chassis Design division. Chassis Design is responsible for the:
Development of Chassis parts (Brake, Steering, Suspension, Tyre, Shift, Pedals, …) to achieve the highest driving performance and quality at the competitive price.
Local development of Chassis parts for vehicles built in Toyota's European assembly plants. This activity is done in close cooperation with local suppliers and Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan.
Investigation of new European technologies

Your responsibilities
The main responsibility of the open position for interim is work on the development of Brake system and components to fulfil the basic performance of chassis brakes for development, and current mass production, vehicles. The main activity will be to lead the project development with our brake systems suppliers and, in addition, monitor and research the market trends of brake components In the context of this project the successful candidate will perform the following activities:
Support project development of chassis commodities (e.g. brake)
Support technical investigation leading to quality or cost improvements
Verification of installation requirements, technical drawings and 3D models
Summarize the evaluation reports and document the processes
Prepare functional safety status overview for quality and ISO audits
Support field investigations, trouble diagnostics and troubleshooting
Coordinate development activities with evaluation team
Research and monitor technology trends for brake systems, and components
You are fluent in English (Toyota Motor Europe business language). Japanese is an asset.
You have a practical knowledge of CATIA design tool (drafting, assembly and 2D sketching)
You have good knowledge/experience of Strength of materials and FEA
Chassis systems and Vehicle Dynamics knowledge are an asset
Project management skills are an asset
Intermediate programming skills (Python, Matlab) are an asset
You have a Bachelors in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
Experience on component design is a benefit
It is preferred if you have experience in a similar position in the automotive sector or in an industrial mass production environment

Long term interim contract (weekly renewed)
Start date: ASAP
Expected end date: 30/10/2026 (a contract extension until 28/02/2027 is possible but not confirmed for the moment)
