Job description

As part of the Product Development Compliance team, you ensure that both new and existing products are tested, verified, and approved in accordance with the strict requirements. You define and maintain test plans, evaluate test results, and remain actively involved in technical product improvements throughout the development process. In this role, you safeguard and confirm the technical compliance of all products within the RV business line, including awnings, bike racks, steps, and soft goods (tents and panels).

Role and tasks

  • You establish and maintain test procedures, ensuring full alignment with the Test Code.

  • You develop and/or execute the required tests to demonstrate safety and conformity of components and finished products.

  • You perform testing on prototypes and existing products with the aim of improving quality, and provide technical input for product improvements based on test outcomes.

  • You define and manage test plans within product development projects.

  • You monitor incoming test requests and coordinate planning accordingly.

  • You own the RV test center and drive continuous improvements to ensure compliance with defined procedures and testing standards. You also define and justify required investments to the Product Development Leader.

  • You act as the main point of contact for the Test Center and build strong working relationships with external laboratories and knowledge centers.

  • You plan and coordinate testing activities both within the Test Center and with external partners.

  • You provide technical support to internal stakeholders such as sales, product management, production, and process engineering.

  • You manage and coordinate projects related to the responsibilities above.

  • You ensure all test reports are properly stored and accessible within the PLM system.

  • You stay up to date with relevant standards and ensure test methods remain current and compliant.

  • You are an active member of the compliance team.

Requirements

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in (Electro-)mechanics or a related technical field.

  • You have strong technical expertise and are a natural problem solver.

  • You are creative in designing and developing new test methods.

  • You are hands-on and take full ownership of your work.

  • You have strong spatial awareness and are comfortable working with technical drawings.

  • You have a basic understanding of electronics (e.g. motors, control units, etc.).

  • You are an effective communicator, able to collaborate across teams.

  • You have strong language skills: fluent Dutch, good English, and basic knowledge of French and German.

  • You enjoy hands-on testing, including dismantling and destructively testing products.

  • You take full responsibility for your projects, combining entrepreneurial drive with a structured approach.

  • You work in a precise, organized, and methodical way.

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

  • You are a creative and conceptual thinker with a strong analytical mindset.

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks is considered an advantage.

  • Experience with simulation software (FEM) is a plus.

  • You naturally embody and represent the brand identity and active lifestyle values.
