QA Architect
We are looking for a QA Architect who wants to contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality, reliability, and scalability of the Synaps platform. In this role, you will define testing strategies, improve test automation, and validate software releases in close collaboration with software developers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and support engineers. The position covers frontend, backend, infrastructure, CI/CD, and integrations with industrial systems.
What will you do?
Quality Architecture & Test Strategy
Translate customer feedback, support insights, field observations, and lessons learned from production environments into test scenarios for unit, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
Introduce risk-based testing methodologies to ensure testing efforts are focused where they provide the greatest value.
Develop test scenarios based on recurring customer feedback, support insights, and real-world installation experiences.
Help define practical quality gates for software releases without unnecessarily delaying delivery.
Test Automation
Design and maintain automated tests for C#/.NET services, Angular applications, REST APIs, microservices, and database integrations.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to detect regressions at an early stage.
Promote maintainable test automation that developers can easily understand, trust, and extend.
Backend & Platform Validation
Validate business logic, backend workflows, REST APIs, distributed services, SQL databases, Kubernetes applications, and integrations with industrial equipment.
Help ensure data integrity, system performance, and overall platform reliability.
Translate technical risks into clear and practical validation scenarios.
Coaching & Continuous Improvement
Support developers and quality engineers in applying testing methodologies, diagnostic techniques, observability solutions, and regression prevention practices in their daily work.
Coach developers to minimize regressions within their own code.
Encourage practical testing habits that are naturally integrated into the software development lifecycle
Who are we looking for?
Experience in frontend, backend, or full-stack software development, with a strong focus on automated testing and platform quality.
Experience designing and/or implementing automated testing solutions.
A genuine interest in continuously expanding and improving the existing test framework.
Willingness to travel internationally to customer sites, gather real-world feedback, and gain hands-on experience in production environments.
Technical Skills
Frontend and backend experience are equally valuable. The key requirement is a solid understanding of how software architecture influences testability, reliability, maintainability, and regression risk. A perfect match is not required; a solid foundation and willingness to learn are most important.
Backend Skills
Experience validating platform logic, backend workflows, REST APIs, distributed services, SQL databases, Kubernetes applications, and integrations with industrial systems.
Experience with Angular, C#, .NET, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Python, and service-oriented architectures.
Ability to validate usability, correctness, performance, data consistency, and system integration behavior.
Frontend Skills
Experience validating user workflows, UI behavior, automated regression testing, and interactions between frontend applications and underlying APIs.
Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium is an advantage.
Ability to define meaningful test coverage for UI, API, integration, and backend automation.
DevOps Skills
Experience integrating automated quality controls into CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and cloud-native platforms to ensure reliable testing before releases.
Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized applications.
A dynamic and international work environment where innovation and collaboration are key.
A competitive salary with an attractive package of additional benefits.
An extensive training program and personal guidance through a mentorship program.
Enjoy fun extras such as after-work drinks and sports, summer barbecue, Christmas drinks, and so much more.
Thanks to our location near the highway, our company is easily accessible.
On top of the 20 standard vacation days, you receive an additional 12 compensation days per year.
