Job description

As a Versatile Slaughterhouse Worker, you will work at one of the stations on the slaughter line in the ultra-modern slaughter hall. You will perform knife-skilled tasks such as removing organs, extracting intestinal packages, trimming fillets, and removing fat, always in accordance with legal animal welfare standards. The entire slaughtering process is supervised by veterinarians from the FASFC, and you contribute to a slaughtering pace of approximately 700 pigs per hour.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Performing assigned tasks on the slaughter line with a focus on quality and efficiency

  • Safely and correctly using slaughter equipment and tools

  • Working according to food safety and hygiene regulations

  • Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive work atmosphere

Requirements

  • Experience as a slaughterhouse worker or knife-skilled employee in a slaughterhouse

  • Accurate and quality-conscious way of working

  • Willing to start around 05:30 a.m. (depending on the station)

  • Flexible, physically fit, and stress-resistant

  • Able to work independently while also being team-oriented

  • Willing to travel to Westrozebeke (public transport is not available)

  • Language skills are a plus, but craftsmanship is the priority

Languages
