Job description

Our client is an established player in the chemical industry. To strengthen the procurement team, they are looking for a Strategic Buyer. You will join an international production environment where sustainability and collaboration are key. In this role, you contribute to the continuity and competitiveness of the site through smart procurement strategies and strong supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement and supplier strategies

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements

  • Analyze market trends, costs and risks

  • Monitor supplier performance and KPIs

  • Manage and optimize contracts

  • Collaborate with production, maintenance and engineering teams

  • Coordinate the full procurement process

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent through experience

  • Experience in strategic procurement

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills

  • Analytical mindset with knowledge of TCO, market analysis and risk assessment

  • Good SAP knowledge

  • Technical understanding of industrial applications

  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
