Job description

For a leading international player in the transport sector, located in the Ghent region, we are looking for a proactive Logistics Material Planner. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring parts availability for the Ghent plant, preventing assembly line disruptions at the lowest possible cost. This is a temporary 2-month assignment with an immediate start.

  • Monitoring production scheduling and delivery performance from domestic and international suppliers.

  • Maintaining daily communication with suppliers to align deliveries with EDI commitments.

  • Acting as a central point of contact for stakeholders such as production, transport, and quality.

  • Managing supplier-related cost recovery processes (chargebacks).

  • Accurately maintaining and updating logistics parameters in the system (lead time, MRP, EDI).

Requirements

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Logistics, Business Administration, or International Business.

  • You have a solid understanding of supply chain operations and flow thinking.

  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch is a strong asset.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong communication skills, highly organized, and able to prioritize under pressure.

  • You are available immediately for a 2-month project.
