For our client, an international leader in high-tech machine building and coating technology, we are looking for a Software Quality & Testing Engineer with a strong affinity for customer support. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between software development and real-world application, ensuring the stability and reliability of a complex industrial software platform while actively scaling our support activities.Software Support & TroubleshootingAnalyze, reproduce, and resolve incidents across test, staging, and production environments to minimize implementation risks for our clientsInvestigate logs, error messages, and system behavior to identify root causesDistinguish between software bugs, configuration issues, data discrepancies, and user inquiriesMaintain a prioritized list of improvement opportunities to focus the team on high-impact fixesCommunicate clearly with clients regarding status updates, explanations, and practical workaroundsTake full ownership of issues from the initial report through to resolution and validationQuality Improvement, Testing & QA ToolingTranslate recurring or critical support cases into robust test cases and regression scenariosValidate bug fixes and perform targeted regression and smoke testsContribute to automated tests for C#/.NET backend services and Angular frontend applicationsUtilize various testing approaches, including unit, integration, end-to-end, and contract testingWork with UI and E2E frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or SeleniumSupport non-functional testing, including performance and reliability checksCollaboration & Continuous ImprovementAct as a "reality check" from the customer's perspective in engineering and quality discussionsContribute to improvements in logging, diagnostics, and overall product usabilityMaintain and improve support processes, guidelines, and documentation for known issuesParticipate in international deployments and commissioning projects (approximately 15% travel)Participate in a standby rotation (1 week out of 3) for urgent out-of-hours support
