Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and motivated counter server to support catering services in the self-service restaurants and cold kitchens of the European Commission.
Your responsibilities include:
- Operating and managing a cash register.
- Receiving payments in accordance with established procedures.
- Receiving and storing merchandise.
- Preparing and arranging pastries and bread.
- Setting up cold kitchen services (e.g., salad bar).
- Preparing simple dishes such as sandwiches, mixed salads, poke bowls, cold plates, fruit cuts, and desserts, based on menus and technical sheets.
- Assisting cooks with basic preparation tasks (washing vegetables, peeling, preparing garnishes and sauces).
- Serving food at the counter.
- Setting up the counters and ensuring the dining area is supplied with trays, plates, napkins, condiments, etc.
- Restocking fridges, utensils, glasses, trays, etc.
- Presenting food items in display units.
- Cleaning the counters after service and restoring order.

Requirements

Requirements:
- Completion of compulsory education.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Good working knowledge of French.
- Ability to provide a clean criminal record certificate.
- Appropriate attire required: white or black shirt, black trousers (no jeans), and safety shoes.
