Job description

The Group Quality Engineer provides general support to all production plants and the purchasing department within the stow Group regarding quality-related topics. These include quality and process audits, implementation and creation of Group standards, and investigation of technical non-conformities. In addition, the Group Quality Engineer cooperates with R&D regarding newly developed products.

Your tasks & responsibilities

  1. Quality & Compliance

  • Improving and aligning quality standards across all production plants (France, Germany, Portugal, Czech Republic, Turkey) and key suppliers

  • Establishing continuous improvement projects

  • Investigating technical production non-conformities

  • Supporting the implementation and further development of ISO9001 and EN1090

  • Coordinating activities between plants and departments (R&D, Engineering)

  • Collaborating with local QHSE managers to raise quality standards

  • Validating suppliers and performing supplier audits

  • Preparing and participating in customer audits

  1. Documents

  • Creating technical specifications and policies

  1. Reporting

  • Creating measurement reports (conventional and using 3D measuring arm & scanner)

  1. General Support

  • Traveling to production plants, suppliers, and customer sites (approx. 30%)

  • Supporting continuous improvement projects related to quality

  • Supporting the purchasing department with technical expertise when required

Requirements

Your profile

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electromechanics, or similar

  • At least 5 years of experience in a metal processing production environment

  • Open to working in a production environment

  • Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus

  • Strong team player and good communicator

  • Willing to travel approximately 30% per month

Languages

You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch
You have a basic knowledge of French
You have a perfect knowledge of English

<p>As part of the Product Development Compliance team, you ensure that both new and existing products are tested, verified, and approved in accordance with the strict requirements. You also define and justify required investments to the Product Development Leader.</p></li><li><p>You act as the main point of contact for the Test Center and build strong working relationships with external laboratories and knowledge centers.</p></li><li><p>You plan and coordinate testing activities both within the Test Center and with external partners.</p></li><li><p>You provide technical support to internal stakeholders such as sales, product management, production, and process engineering.</p></li><li><p>You manage and coordinate projects related to the responsibilities above.</p></li><li><p>You ensure all test reports are properly stored and accessible within the PLM system.</p></li><li><p>You stay up to date with relevant standards and ensure test methods remain current and compliant.</p></li><li><p>You are an active member of the compliance team.</p></li></ul>
