Are you thinking about starting as a flexi worker? Then you probably want to know: “What salary can I expect?”
Your flexi salary is regulated by law and depends on the sector you work in. Below you can read exactly how it works.
In most sectors, your salary is determined by the wage scale of the sector’s joint committee.
This means:
You are entitled to at least the minimum wage that applies for the position you perform.
Your seniority (years of experience) may be taken into account if this is provided for in the sector.
Your employer must comply with the official wage agreements that apply in your sector.
In most sectors, your flexi salary cannot exceed 150% of the sector’s minimum wage.
Additionally, some sectors define a specific minimum wage for flexi employment.
Exception: hospitality sector
Do you work in hospitality (Joint Committee 302)?
Then a separate system applies with a fixed standard flexi wage. The regular wage scales do not apply in this sector.
On top of your hourly wage, you receive 7.67% holiday pay.
This amount is paid together with your salary, so you receive it immediately with each payment, not separately later.
In some sectors, flexi workers also receive additional benefits, such as:
meal vouchers
eco vouchers
The general rule is simple: if permanent employees receive these benefits, you as a flexi worker are usually entitled to them as well.
