Job description

For a leading company in automotive logistics located in Ghent, we are looking for a Shift Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the warehouse operations, guiding a team to guarantee productivity, efficiency, and safety.

  • leading the warehouse team by giving daily briefings, monitoring performances, and providing feedback

  • planning, scheduling, and managing daily warehouse activities to meet production deadlines

  • optimizing the warehouse layout and workflows to maximize efficiency and reduce bottlenecks

  • monitoring the timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of incoming and outgoing goods

  • maintaining safety standards and company policies by performing regular audits and implementing corrective actions

  • monitoring the condition of warehouse equipment (such as forklifts and conveyors) and collaborating with the maintenance team

  • preparing and submitting reports on productivity, inventory accuracy, and other key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • documenting operational procedures and ensuring team members understand and comply with them

Requirements

  • You have relevant experience as a Shift Leader within a logistics environment

  • You possess strong leadership and people management skills to motivate and coach a team

  • You have an in-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

  • You preferably have experience in the automotive sector, which is considered a strong asset

  • You are decisive, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have a keen eye for detail

  • You have strong organizational skills and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

  • You hold a forklift certificate or are willing to obtain one through training

Languages

You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch
You have a perfect knowledge of English

<p>As part of the Product Development Compliance team, you ensure that both new and existing products are tested, verified, and approved in accordance with the strict requirements.
