Job description

Do you have a passion for gastronomy, strong organizational skills, and a desire to grow in an international and stimulating environment? The European Institutions are looking for Head Chefs to strengthen their kitchen brigades.
You will work within a professional and dynamic team, under the supervision of a statutory member, and play a key role in managing culinary production.
Your responsibilities:
- Independently and efficiently manage the entire culinary production process, under the supervision of a statutory staff member.
- Develop and test new recipes; propose innovative ideas, culinary trends, and new technologies.
- Oversee mise en place and kitchen preparations according to technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards and proper use of kitchen equipment.
- Control the quality of the production, portion sizes, and food presentation.
- Manage raw material inventories, monitor supplies, and prevent shortages or surpluses.
- Receive and inspect deliveries (quality and quantity), and handle returns if necessary.
- Supervise service setup and presentation of counters.
- Lead and support the kitchen team with leadership, clarity, and efficiency.
- Ensure proper cooking of meat, fish, and poultry.

Requirements

Required Profile:
- Recognized professional training from a hotel school or technical/professional education in the culinary field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Head Chef (or minimum 2 years for a Chef de Partie with hotel school training).
- Mastery of team management and leadership techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, products, and dietary principles.
- Creativity, dynamism, and initiative.
- Professional appearance with appropriate chef attire (pants and chef jacket, safety shoes).

Languages

You have a very good knowledge of French
You have a very good knowledge of English
