For a leading company in automotive logistics located in Ghent, we are looking for a Shift Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the warehouse operations, guiding a team to guarantee productivity, efficiency, and safety.
leading the warehouse team by giving daily briefings, monitoring performances, and providing feedback
planning, scheduling, and managing daily warehouse activities to meet production deadlines
optimizing the warehouse layout and workflows to maximize efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
monitoring the timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of incoming and outgoing goods
maintaining safety standards and company policies by performing regular audits and implementing corrective actions
monitoring the condition of warehouse equipment (such as forklifts and conveyors) and collaborating with the maintenance team
preparing and submitting reports on productivity, inventory accuracy, and other key performance indicators (KPIs)
documenting operational procedures and ensuring team members understand and comply with them
You have relevant experience as a Shift Leader within a logistics environment
You possess strong leadership and people management skills to motivate and coach a team
You have an in-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
You preferably have experience in the automotive sector, which is considered a strong asset
You are decisive, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have a keen eye for detail
You have strong organizational skills and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
You hold a forklift certificate or are willing to obtain one through training
