Job description

Ontex is looking for a Sales Assistant Retail to strengthen its Sales team in Aalst. In this role, you will support the commercial success of Ontex’s products and services by managing product data, coordinating administrative processes, and ensuring efficient communication between internal departments and customers. You will play a key part in keeping operations smooth and ensuring excellent customer service.
Main Responibilities:
Maintain accurate customer records in SAP
Coordinate new product launches with customers and manage data in their systems
Oversee the product life cycle, monitor stock levels, and support accurate sales reporting
Execute administrative and commercial tasks precisely and efficiently
Communicate with internal departments (Product Management, Customer Service, Planning, Quality, and Plants) and report to the KAM/Sales Manager
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
Manage tender documents, provide updates on product changes, promotions, and pricing
Handle customer complaints together with Product and Quality Managers
Maintain and follow up on contractual documents and customer statistics

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a branded or private label environment
Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
Fluent in Dutch and English (French is an asset)
Excellent IT skills, especially MS Office (Excel) and SAP
Autonomous, customer-oriented, and proactive mindset
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
A team player with excellent communication skills
