Job description

For our client, Volvo Trucks, we are looking for a Truck Engineer for Customization.
In this role, you will guide customers with specific requirements by analyzing the possibilities for custom-built trucks together with them.
Specifically, you will do the following:
- Investigate and respond to customer inquiries regarding technical concepts that are not offered as standard, focusing on technical feasibility, cost, lead time, and legal compliance.
- Provide advice to other departments on technical product solutions to customize standard trucks according to customer demand. You will make independent decisions and take full responsibility for these concepts.
- Ensure optimal coordination and collaboration between different involved parties (design, order planning, suppliers, sales engineers) to guarantee that the production of designs is efficient and timely.
- Continuously update your technical knowledge and keep your product knowledge up to date.

Requirements

Who you are:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field. Additional education in an economic field can be an advantage.
- Technical knowledge related to vehicles and/or knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus.
- Ability to work well in a team is a must. You are good at building relationships and maintaining positive contacts with others.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and commercial skills.
- Excellent networking skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Good knowledge of English is required (other languages are a plus).
